II, 1998 Andrzej Brzeg Geobotaniczna charakterystyka projektowanego rezerwatu częściowego "Łąki Pyzdrskie" w Nadwarciańskim Parku Krajobrazowym Geobotanical description of the designed nature reserve "Łąki Pyzdrskie" in the Nadwarciański Landscape Park Abstract. The paper presents phytosociological and floristic description of planned nature reserve, localized in eastern part of Wielkopolska region. The halophytes and their communities (Scirpetum maritimi, Triglochino-Glaucetum maritimae and Puccinellio-Spergularietum salinae), as well as the purple moor grass meadows (Galio borealis-Molinietum, Succisetum pratensis) are most valuable elements of the area. Lake Białe Wigierskie is a small nature reserve in the Wigierski National Park. In 1994 and 1995 authors found 435 species of vascular plants. 23 species are protected by law in Poland and 5 are included in "Red List of Threatened Vascular Plants in Poland". The basic information about the state of maintenance of forest communities in 7 selected reserves in sieradzkie voivodship are given. The reserves have been created for the protection of forest with the occurrence of tree species, which are reaching here their northernmost sites (especially - Abies alba Mill.). There are many of plants associations represented - from the eutrophic up to oligotrophic. The state of conservation and the dynamics of fir population shows, that the occurrence of this species in the forest of this region is not endangered. Rafał Bernard Stan wiedzy o rozmieszczeniu i ekologii Nehalennia speciosa (Charpentier, 1840) (Odonata: Coenagrionidae) w Polsce The present knowledge about the distribution and ecology of Nehalennia speciosa (Charpentier, 1840) (Odonata: Coenagrionidae) in Poland Abstract. Literature data on Nehalennia speciosa (Charpentier) in Poland are summarized and reviewed. New localities are described with special emphasis to the zone inhabited by the species. Distribution in Poland and Europe is given and characterized and its strong regressive tendencies are stressed. The habitat of N. speciosa in central Europe is analysed and its probably the most important (critical) conditions are suggested with focus on vegetation. The extreme stenotopy and strong relations to preferred vegetation are emphasized. Paweł Buczyński, Bernard Staniec Waloryzacja godnego ochrony torfowiska Krugłe Bagno (Pojezierze Łęczyńsko-Włodawskie) w oparciu o wybrane elementy jego fauny Environmental evaluation of the conservation worth Krugłe Bagno peatbog (the Łęczyńsko-Włodawskie Lake District) based on the selected elements of its fauna Abstract. The article contains an environmental evaluation of the Krugłe Bagno peatbog on the grounds of selected elements of its fauna, with particular regard to Odonata and Staphylinidae. On the basis of the obtained data (domination of the tyrfobionts and tyrfophiles, occurrence of many rare and protected by law in Poland species) it has been suggested that partial nature reserve should be established. It is also proposed to use the obtained data as a point of reference in evaluation of the state of other peatbogs in the Łęczyńsko-Włodawskie Lake District and other lowland regions of Poland. Investigations were carried out near Siedlce in the Podlasie (historical and physiographical region in Eastern Poland).
