Wstępna inwentaryzacja i waloryzacja faunistyczna postulowanego rezerwatu przyrody "Przyjaźń" na Pojezierzu Kaszubskim
Preliminary studies and evaluation of the postulated nature reserve "Przyjaźń" in the Kaszubskie Lake District

Abstract. Preliminary faunistics studies of the selected animal taxa in the postulated nature reserve "Przyjaźń" (the Kaszubskie Lake District, northern Poland) were carried out. 218 species, mainly insects, birds and mammals, were recorded; several of them are rare or protected in Poland.

Niektóre grupy owadów wodnych (Odonata, Heteroptera, Coleoptera, Trichoptera) projektowanego rezerwatu "Torfowiska wiszące nad jeziorem Jaczno" i okolic: wyniki wstępnych badań
Some groups of water insects (Odonata, Heteroptera, Coleoptera, Trichoptera) of the projected reserve "Hanging peat bogs by Jaczno Lake" and its surroundings: results of preliminary studies

Abstract. Dragonflies, water bugs, water beetles, and caddisflies were studied in the projected reserve "Hanging peat bogs by Jaczno Lake" and its surroundings (NE Poland, the Suwalskie Lake District) in July 2000. 131 species are listed. Species composition and nature values of the area are analysed.

Materials to the knowledge of weevils (Curculionoidea: Rhinomaceridae, Attelabidae, Apionidae, Curculionidae) of the Poleski National Park

Abstract. The article is the result of 6-year-long faunistic research on Curculionoidea in the Poleski National Park (E Poland). The investigations wee conducted at twelve localities. The collected material includes 2519 specimens belonging to 256 species. Many interesting weevil species were recorded in the mentioned area.

Przezierniki (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) Zespołu Parków Krajobrazowych Ponidzia
The clearwing moths (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) of the Complex of the Ponidzie Landscape Parks

Abstract. As a result of the field studies carried out in the years 1994-1998 in the Ponidzie Landscape Parks and their buffer zone, 17 species of clearwing moths (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) were recorded. During the investigations 699 feeding traces, 111 caterpillars, 90 pupae, 70 pupal shells and 687 adults of Sesiidae were collected.

Przemieszczenia samic kaczki krzyżówki Anas platyrhynchos L. w okresie wodzenia młodych i pierzenia
Movements of female mallard Anas platyrhynchos L. during brooding and moult

Abstract. Factors affecting movements undertaken by mallard broods were studied in the "Słoński" Reserve, W Poland. In the years 1996-1997, 18 females were radiomarked and broods were followed. The mean daily distance of brood movement was 197 m (95%CI: 180-215). Significant differences between individual broods were found. No significant correlations were found for the mean distances and female traits or reproductive status. Significant correlations were found for the mean distance of each brood vs. the date of nest initiation (r=0,56; p=0,0465; n=13) and for the mean distance vs. the number of ducklings hatched (r=-0,58; p=0,0229; n=15). The hypothesis of environment-dependent brood movement distance is discussed.
